What
will you do when disaster strikes?
If
your customers are using the AT&T network, we've got you covered.
AT&T
is experienced in responding to emergency situations. Hurricanes.
Floods. Ice and snow storms. Regardless of the situation, AT&T is ready with the resources to minimize network downtime, putting
your customers back to work. When disaster strikes, AT&T springs
to action with specialized centers for coordinating restoral efforts
and keeping you and your customers informed of the progress.
Put
your customers at ease ...
by backing up their service with AT&T's resources for maintaining
service during disaster situations. AT&T has mobile restoration
equipment in each AT&T district sufficient to meet day to day
needs. In addition, AT&T maintains regional pools of mobile
equipment at key locations across the nine states. 1200 Emergency
generators are stationed in five strategically placed pools located
in our region. These generators can be on-site at any location in
AT&T's territory within 24 hours of an emergency.
And
there's more.
Within 24 to 48 hours, AT&T can deploy portable SLC-96 (Subscriber
Line Carrier) cabinets, portable microwave radio systems, D4 channel
banks and BETRS (Basic Exchange Telephone Radio Systems). These
systems are capable of restoring service from a single line up to
a DS3 and are ready for deployment anywhere in AT&T territory.
As if that wasn't enough, sets of 1.7 GHZ Fiber Terminals, capable
of restoring up to 36 DS3 circuits, can be on site and operational
within 72 hours.
