Clear your browser's history file

Instructions for Internet Explorer

If you do not wish to adjust your browser settings; hold the shift key down and click on the "Refresh" button or do the following:

  1. Click on "Tools" on top left of Internet Explorer
    • Click on "Internet Options"
    • Under 'General' tab, go to -History- section
    • Select '0' for "Days to keep pages in history"
    • Go to -Temporary Internet Files- section
    • Click "Delete Files..." button
  2. Click on the "Apply" button
  3. Click on the "OK" button

As an added security under Internet Explorer: Click on the "Advanced" tab

  • Under 'Security' (last section - it has a lock symbol) select the checkbox beside "[ ] Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed".

IMPORTANT: Afterwards, go to the page of the Web site you wish to see. While holding the 'shift' key, click the browser button that says 'Refresh'. These actions should allow you to see the updated web page.

Instructions for Netscape

If you do not wish to adjust your browser settings; hold the shift key down and click on the "Reload" button or do the following:Click on "Edit" on top left of Netscape Navigator

  • Click on "Preferences"
  • In "History" section, select '0' for "Pages in History expire after [0] days"
  • Note: you will have to place the numeral '0' in the box.

Click on the "Clear History" button Click on the "OK" button

IMPORTANT: Afterwards, go to the page of the Web site you wish to see. While holding the 'shift' key, click the browser button that says 'Reload'. These actions should allow you to see the updated web page.
