Changes for BellSouth SPA DS3 Service Intervals

BellSouth now offers standard intervals for selected Special Access (SPA) DS3 level service configurations where facilities are available and service has been established for the following services.

  • BellSouth ® LightGate ® Service (a/k/a BellSouth Point-to-Point) – DS3
  • BellSouth ® SMARTRing ® Service (a/k/a BellSouth SPA Dedicated Ring) - DS3
  • BellSouth SPA Managed Shared Network Service - DS3
  • BellSouth ® SMARTPath ® DS3 Transport Service (a/k/a BellSouth SPA DS3 Shared Ring)

Service Interval Reductions

Effective August 1, 2006 , BellSouth implemented reductions to the SPA DS3 standard and negotiated intervals where targeted service configurations may be installed in as little as 5 business days and others 6 and 12 business days where facilities are available.

 

Service Interval Availability

Additionally, SPA DS3 standard interval availability for service configurations involving local loop facilities for End User locations can be determined via a pre-order inquiry in CAFÉ behind the Facility Availability System (FAS). As always the FAS information is available to authorized Common Access Front End (CAFÉ) users via the internet.
