CHAPTER 10.0 - Address Verification Request (AVR) |
The Address Verification Request (AVR) is initiated by INTRADO/ICO to forward address discrepancies to the county / city / parish.
This process should be used only when the ICO has investigated the discrepancies and is reasonably sure that no action is necessary on the part of the ICO. It may be advisable for the ICO to call customers to assist in obtaining current street address information before issuing an AVR to the E911 customer for investigation.
If subscriber records are erroneous, it is the responsibility of the ICO to investigate and update their records before asking for assistance.
The AVR form with field descriptions and procedures on when to prepare the AVR and how to administer the AVR are covered in this document.
