LENS Inquiry functions are used to view and validate LSR information
about a prospective or existing customer during the pre-order process.
The following are LENS Inquiry functionalities:
Address Validation: Verifies the end user's address and
confirms that the address is 911/E911 compliant. This functionality
is performed before most other LENS functionalities.
View Features and Services: Returns lists of available features
and services for specific switches.
Reserve Telephone Numbers: Reserves selected telephone numbers
for later use in Firm Orders.
Reserve Miscellaneous Account Numbers (MANs): Reserves MANs
for use within 30 days and allows for viewing previously reserved
MANs.
View Installation Calendar: Returns the estimated work schedule
of the central office specific to the prospective end user's address.
View Customer Record (CSR): Returns the (Customer Service
Record) CSR of the CLEC's own end users and BellSouth's non-restricted
account, including credit history, based on a 10-digit account number,
10-digit miscellaneous account number, complete circuit number,
or partial circuit number.
View Multiple Customer Records (CSRs): Returns up to four
Customer Service Resords (CSRs) for non-complex accounts on a single
inquiry.
View All: Returns all information associated with an LSR,
including the Customer Service Record, Address Validation information,
Features and Services, Telephone Number Reservation options, and
the Installation Calendar.
Estimate Due Date: Returns a potential due date for the
possible Firm Order you would like to place.
View PIC/LPIC Carriers: Returns the PIC/LPIC carriers available
to the end user and allows you to locate carriers for possible
later use in Firm Orders.
View Loop Makeups: Returns loop makeup details on existing
facilities owned by the CLEC or BellSouth or on new/spare facilities
owned by BellSouth. You can also create reservations for new/spare
facilities.
Cancel Facilites Reservation: Cancels previously placed
reservations for new/spare facilities owned by BellSouth.
View Cable/Chan Pair Status: Returns the status of specific
wire center cable/channel pair designations in your loop inventory.
