Scenario: You need to determine the status of specific wire center cable/channel pair designations in your loop inventory.

1. From the Main Menu, click "Inquiry".

The Inquiry Menu screen is displayed.

2. From the Inquiry Menu drop down, select "Cable/Chan Pair Status".

3. Click "Proceed with Inquiry".

The Cable/Chan Pair Status screen is displayed.

4. In the BST Wire Center (NPA/NXX) field, type the NPA/NXX in which the facilities reside.

5. To identify the assignment position within the Wire Center, type the cable id(s) and channel pair(s).

6. Click "Submit Inquiry".

LENS returns one of the following messages based on the status of the cable/channel pair:

If the cable ID/channel pair is "assigned/working," LENS displays the circuit ID associated with the facility along with the message, "The inputted Chan Pair is working."

OR

If the cable ID/channel pair is "not currently assigned/working" but is "Defective" or "Unassignable," LENS displays the message, "The inputted Chan Pair is defective."

OR

If the cable ID/channel pair is "Not Working," "Not Defective," or "Not Unassignable," the message will indicate that the facility is not currently assigned (i.e., Spare)

OR

If the cable ID/channel pair is not found, LENS displays the message, "The inputted combination of Wire Center, Cable ID, and Chan Pair is not recognized as valid.
